In recognition of Shri Narendra Modi’s exceptional embodiment of national, regional, and global leadership, the citation lauds his transformative role in propelling India to unprecedented economic heights. Under his stewardship, India has surged to become the fastest-growing economy globally and is poised to claim the third-largest economy status by 2030.

After receiving the prestigious award from His Majesty The King, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his Facebook page, stating, “It is with great humility that I accept the ‘Order of the Druk Gyalpo’ Award. It is dedicated to 140 crore Indians. I thank the Government of Bhutan for the honor.”
